Abigail Magee

Abigail Magee is a third year graduate student in the field of Applied Developmental Psychology, with a concentration in Behavioral Health in Schools and Communities. Abigail received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child and Youth Development from Kent State University. During undergrad, Abigail worked as a student teacher for Kent State’s Child Development Center where the Reggio Emilia approach inspired her daily teaching and practices.

Now, while in graduate school, Abigail works as a teacher at Pitt’s Child Development Center with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. There, she supports and engages in play to nurture the developmental needs of all children. She loves working with children and is eager to begin a career rooted in teaching, psychology, and advocacy. Abigail aspires to continue her education and become a School Psychologist to support students’ ability to learn, grow and develop.

Abigail is thrilled to be a 2021-2022 LEND trainee. She is eager to grow her leadership and advocacy skills that will help her better serve individuals with disabilities and their families.
