  • Speech Language Pathology

Ashlynn Kufleitner is a second-year graduate student in the Speech-Language Pathology Master of Arts program at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated magna cum laude at the College of Wooster in 2019 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Early Childhood Education. At Wooster, she was involved in research and completed a published Independent Study that investigated echolalia and self-stimulatory behaviors as a potential communication strategy for autistic children. Ashlynn served as Philanthropy Chair in her sorority Epsilon Kappa Omicron, where she organized service events in the community, and she was the Vice President of the Wooster Future Educator’s Association.

Ashlynn is a sibling to two autistic brothers and understands first-hand that individuals who have disabilities and their families need to receive compassionate and comprehensive care from professionals. She is passionate about advocacy, education, and neurodiversity. As a future speech-language pathologist, she hopes to work with and learn from individuals who have disabilities and their families. In her practice, she would like to help her clients communicate independently so that they can accomplish their goals and advocate for themselves and others. Ashlynn is excited to be a part of LEND Pittsburgh where she can work closely with other professionals and learn how to best support individuals and their families.
