  • LEND Audiology Trainee

Samantha “Sam” Huynh is a second-year student in the Doctor of Audiology program at the University of
Pittsburgh (Pitt). As an undergraduate student at Pitt, Sam originally was an education major and
studied to be a teacher. During a classroom observation, she encountered the field of communication
science and disorders and was inspired to pursue audiology. Sam hopes to combine her interest of
education and audiology to partner with children and their communities to provide holistic
developmental care.
She is excited to be a part of LEND and looks forward to working on an interdisciplinary team. Sam is
particularly passionate about the Maternal and Child Health Competencies of diversity, equity, inclusion,
and accessibility and the systems approach. Her goals throughout the year are to develop her skills in
leadership, communication, and advocacy for neurodevelopmental disabilities across diverse cultures.
