Kimberly Yurasits

Kimberly Yurasits is in the second year of the Doctor of Audiology program at the University of Pittsburgh, where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders in 2020. Hail to Pitt! She has always been drawn to working with kids and became especially interested in Maternal and Child Health after volunteering at the Children’s Institute in Squirrel Hill. Her experience at the Children’s Institute working in the inpatient hospital and outpatient speech therapy department truly opened her eyes to both the fulfilling nature of working with children with developmental disorders and the inequalities those with disabilities experience every day. She hopes to use her LEND training to do her part as a future clinician to provide the best care possible in Maternal and Child Health and advocate for access for all patients.
