Laura Cahalan is a third-year Doctorate of Audiology student at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minors in Deaf Education and American Sign Language. During her undergraduate career, Laura was a camp counselor at Camp HERO, a camp for children with hearing loss. This experience inspired her to become a pediatric audiologist who works with children who have a variety of disabilities.

Laura is excited to complete a LEND traineeship during the 2021-2022 academic year. She looks forward to being pushed outside of her comfort zone, expanding her leadership skills, and working with children and families who have neurodevelopmental disabilities.
