Robyn McGowan

  • 1st Year Trainee - Physical Therapy

Robyn McGowan is a second year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 with a B.S. degree in Rehabilitation Science. Her initial interest in the field of Physical Therapy began after witnessing the impact healthcare providers made on a family member with Cerebral Palsy. Since then she has worked at a variety of camps, schools, and community programs for people of all ages with disabilities. These experiences have shaped her passion for working with children with multiple disabilities.

As a LEND trainee, Robyn hopes to gain experience working on an interdisciplinary team and learn more about the professions of her fellow trainees. Through this training, she hopes to enhance her leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills needed for future clinical practice in order to best treat her patients and provide them with appropriate resources. Upon graduation, Robyn plans to work in pediatric care, specifically with children with movement disorders.
