Sarah Hooper

  • LEND Physical Therapy Trainee

Sarah Hooper is a second year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Health and Exercise Science from Regis University in her hometown of Denver, Colorado. Her passion for working with kids with special needs began at a very young age when her parents helped start a non-profit organization called The Two Angels Foundation. Two Angels provides children with various developmental disabilities with adaptive equipment and recreational opportunities. Sarah is now a proud board member of the foundation herself.

While at Regis, Sarah completed an internship at Lil’ Friends LLC which provides respite care and different therapies for children with special needs. Lil’ Friends gave her the unique opportunity to connect with kids and their families while assisting in physical therapy sessions and she was later hired on as a Childcare Specialist.

Sarah’s mission is to enhance the lives of all children, no matter their ability, by allowing them to live happy, healthy, and inclusive lives while advocating for their families. Sarah is excited to be a LEND trainee and is eager to learn more from other trainees, faculty, and families to provide the best quality of patient-centered care.
