Taylor Niblack

  • LEND Speech Language Pathology Trainee

Taylor Niblack is a second-year Masters’ student in Speech-Language Pathology at the
University of Pittsburgh. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in
2022, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Education with a Child and Family Health
Concentration, as well as a Speech and Hearing Sciences Minor. Taylor’s employment as a
nanny, volunteer work with A Moment of Magic Foundation, and participating in the Pediatric
Speech and Language concentration as a part of her graduate education have fostered her
leadership skills and passion for working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and
their families.

Taylor’s desire to work with children with disabilities and their families has continued to
manifest through clinical education placements in speech-language pathology at Children’s
Hospital of Pittsburgh Lawrenceville and South, and the Allegheny Intermediate Unit-DART
Preschool Early Intervention Program. In these experiences, she focused on enhancing
communication and feeding and swallowing goals, and how to be an effective advocate for
children and their families obtaining the treatment and progress they deserve. As a LEND
trainee, Taylor hopes to continue growing as a leader and an advocate in the world of speech
language pathology related to children with disabilities, and utilize these skills in her future
career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a pediatric hospital or outpatient setting.
