Katie Vellody, M.A., CCC-A

Katie Vellody is adjunct faculty in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a clinical instructor for all first-year audiology (AuD) and speech language pathology (SLP) graduate students. She also teaches a graduate level course for 2nd year SLP graduate students in the Department and is a co-faculty instructor for AuD graduate students in various research projects. Her research interests lie in preschool & school age hearing screening protocols and pediatric hearing health preventative care. Before joining higher education, Vellody worked in private practice and hospital based clinical settings as a pediatric audiologist, with a specialty in cochlear implants. In addition, Vellody is the proud sister-in-law of Das who is smart, funny, caring, and who also has Down syndrome.
